Kirstyn Kameg has been a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) since 2000, providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health care to individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Case Western Reserve University.
Kirstyn is the co-owner of Peace of Mind Psychiatry, where she continues to provide individualized psychiatric care, focusing on developing meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. One of the most rewarding aspects of her career has been witnessing patients grow and thrive throughout their treatment, with some therapeutic relationships spanning decades.
In addition to her clinical practice, Kirstyn dedicated 26 years to educating and mentoring future psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners at both the University of Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University. Through her roles as an educator, faculty member, and PMHNP program coordinator, she played a key part in preparing the next generation of advanced practice psychiatric nurses.
With more than 26 years of experience in both clinical practice and PMHNP education, Kirstyn brings a wealth of knowledge, clinical expertise, and a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve greater mental health and well-being.
