Melanie Valenti is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Pittsburgh. Her clinical background includes providing care to children, adolescents, and adults with a range of mental health diagnoses. Melanie has worked closely with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. She also has experience caring for Veterans experiencing acute mental health concerns related to PTSD and mood disorders, as well as providing psychiatric consultation and liaison services in the medical hospital setting. Melanie has additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and clinical strategies for addressing concerns commonly experienced by LGBTQ+ youth. She values a whole-person approach to mental health care and is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized, evidence-based treatment tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals.
